Small update

Sadly this week was a bit of a slow one. Hannah went on a scouting mission to a cement plant and snapped some great reference images of various industrial doodads.

We are still working on nailing down the style of our city. We've been looking at slums from Shanghai and Brazil. The claustrophobic feeling of the slums is something we want to capture with our own city. We also had a look at modern Greek architecture, mainly at how they use simple shapes and varied levels in their buildings.

  1. Nice reference pics. I'd vote having some grey dirt or rust on your assets like the stuff in those pics would really bring the place to life. Love the idea of having grates you can look through and stuff (creates the impression of a larger world beyond what you can access).

Good environment concept too, though might wanna be carefull it doesen't turn itself into a 'stereotypical industrial district'. Maybe have a few curved elements (like the archways and the overhanging roofs) to give it some character (unless the stereotype is what your going for of course, as i suppose that has a character of its own).

Buy yeah, nice job guys, keep it up! :)
